  Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, The spot where Queer As Folk takes place is nothing like Queer as Folk. In fact, when you go, most people end up dissapointed because of the lack of variety, the scattering of the gay establishments and the overall decline of the gay life in a once hip and happening city.

Unfortunately, Pittsburgh does not seem to be the gay haven it once was if you are from out of town, but hey that is only because you don't know where to look.

Pittsburgh actually houses a wide variety of gay hot spots and a gay class and gay culture all of it's own. Pittsburgh's gay culture is very unique and as for food, it is one of the best cities for little unique tastes which will leaving you craving the city again for years to come. I mean think about it this way, this is the city that produced one of the most famous gay artists of our time and houses a fabulous museum dedicated to the wonderous Andy Warhol. If you read in the bars section, I will let you in on a little known secret I found out from one of the bar owners about some hidden warhol artwork.
